Throughout April and May, it has started to get warmer and we have been doing things outside with the kids. Due to Kayla’s treatment, she is not supposed to get any direct sun, so she is always wearing a nice, big pink hat. Glenn has started to get interested in “helping” by doing some of the same things he sees us doing with her. Kayla also had her second treatment, which went well.
The biggest news is that I graduated in May, from OSU Optometry. The College did a ceremony one night, and the next day the whole university commencement was held, and President Barack Obama was the speaker, which meant LOTS of security and lots of waiting.
With school being done, I have had lots of spare/free time to do fun things with Amanda and the kids. It has been very fun to do all of these things. Mostly it is just hanging out here and going to the park occasionally, but we went to Palmyra, NY to see some of the church History sites before we left. Since it was on our way (for the most part) we also went and saw Niagara Falls on the US side. It was nice, but we learned what it can be like traveling with two kids in the car.
Another day we went to the Columbus Zoo with the Kids. Glenn REALLY liked the petting zoo, he stayed there for at least 30 minutes and we basically had to drag him out of there to go onto the next part of the zoo. The last thing we did was take him on a train ride. He really likes riding on things where he can see what he is passing.
