2015-How Fast It Has Gone

Updating some things so we are al up to date…

Our last post was in January covering through Christmas and the Buckeye’s National Championship.  Here are some things that followed.

Top Left: Kayla’s 2nd Birthday; Glenn playing in the mud in our backyard in January when it got up into the 40’s, Kayla, Glenn with his new Christmas trains, Kayla & Glenn in the backyard in February, Kayla (our bookworm-she does this regurly), Glenn and his potty training rewards. Logan Was born the end of Frbruary. Paul’s parents came down to watch the older kids while we were at the hospital.  Amazingly Logan was born on Paul’s Dad’s birthday. (we celebrated his father’s birthday the night before we went to the hospital)

Glenn almost instantly upon seeing Logan, started to call him “his” baby and wanted to hold him, feed him, and make sure he was ok.  Kayla mostly just pokes at him.  Amanda’s parents came for a week or so and stayed to help and see the family. One day we all (except Amanda & Logan) went to the lake and walked the lake trail, and Glenn couldn't help but stop and throw rocks into the lake.

Easter: We had lots of space to hide Easter eggs-in fact the kids liked it so much we hid them several times and then they found them again, and again, and again.  Also, since it had been so warm, we figured it would be a good time to unveil our sandbox-made from a kids swimming pool. They both really liked it initially.

Playtime with dad- Dad helped build all the “buildings” in the sandbox city, and dad’s hairstyling of Kayla’s hair.

Logan’s Blessing- the first time we have had family at one of our kids Blessings.  It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work getting lodging, food and other things arranged for all the family.

In May we had a family of ducks come into our backyard trying to get to the canal behind our house. This excited the kids and Glenn & Kayla thought it was like a petting zoo-tried to hold the babies- but the mom just wandered trying to find an outlet.  At first Amanda would just take the kids in and let the mom figure it out for herself, but when an hour passed, and they hadn't, she decided to scar away the mom-and then the ducklings quickly followed.

In May we also planted a garden.  With lots of flowers and a corner lot for vegetables.

The plant in the container has done really well and eventually the other flowers have done well, but our tomatoes and peppers are still not so good.

So most of you probably heard, but here are the pictures of the flooding from the canal.  Fortunately there was not long term damage to the house, but there was a lot of mud and debris on the lawn we had to clean up.

Misc: Kayla is into stacking things and lining them up, kids watching video on dad’s phone, Bow compliments of Glenn, Logan @ 4 months, Logan's’ first solid food. Has some concern about it.

Amanda tried a new experiment with Kayla’s hair. Sock Rollers for cute curls.  It looks really cute, but Kayla has never had anything like a curl before, so it was odd to see it on her for a while.
