Hello everyone. We have had lots of things changing and interesting things going on in the last couple of months. First to mention, we were able to procure free tickets to the Barnum & Bailey Circus. It was the Glenn’s first circus, and the biggest one any of us had been to. There were lots of lights and cool things to watch. Glenn was really captivated by the lights.
One of the other great parts of the last couple of months, is that because it has been so warm, we have been able to get outside and play in the water and in the pool with Glenn.
Grandma and Grandpa B also came to visit us in June. I just finished with my classes, before my externs, so they came out for the week. We visited ancient Indian burial mounds, and other places around the area. Though, we mostly just enjoyed having them around and having Glenn spend time with them. (we also enjoyed visiting with them)
After Grandpa and Grandma left, I started my first rotation for my 4th year of school. This site has been really nice in some ways, but also tough in other ways. We see a fair amount of patients, in only a short period of time, so I am usually home in the range of 2-3 in the afternoon. But we also have to drive pretty far. They provide the students with a vehicle (old one, but better than putting all the miles on my car). It is an ophthalmology practice, so pretty much all of the patients have advanced cases of whatever disease they are there for. It has been quite the change from the regular clinic at school because most of the patients there are fairly health with no or mild health concerns.
The last day of Grandma and Grandpa’s visit, we tricked Glenn into walking more and more. Before the end of the week, we were able to get him to walk just about anywhere without needing to hold onto anything, he has done lots. One thing that people kept saying that hasn’t seemed to be the case with Glenn is that once your child is walking, you will have to make sure to keep an eye out because they will be getting into more things and more quickly. I don’t think this is his case, because he was already getting into everything and he could crawl pretty fast, so we hadn't felt like he has been more challenging to keep track of.
