Hello everyone, It has been a while since I have put anything up. I have been very busy at my rotation at the VA hospital.
We have done a few interesting things and had a few interesting things happen since august. First I have been at my rotation, which are long 12-14 hour days from when I leave till I get back home.
The last part of August, our stake (and the 3 other stakes in Columbus) took part in the 200th Celebration for the City, and part of what we did was a city wide service. We volunteered to put labels on all the water drains in our neighborhood. This was one of the few service projects that could include Amanda and Glenn. (see pic below)
The first weekend in October my sister and brother-in-law came to see a big College football game. He is a Nebraska fan, so we got tickets to the game and he and I went to it. We all had fun though going around and seeing and getting into the tailgating.
We also went to a cool metro park and went on a good “hike”. The fall leaves were in great color.
Amanda spent a lot of time preparing our Halloween costumes for this year. We were characters from the 100 acre woods. Can you guess who?
Then we went to a pumpkin patch at a local farm to pick our pumpkins out. Here they do a good job of attracting people to buy pumpkins directly from the farms. The one we went to have a free petting zoo, games, play areas and lots of interesting pumpkin things. We went and got our three pumpkins (and a few gourds) all for less than 6 dollars.
That gets us up to today. Though we got some picture of the family reunion that we went to for my family. We were at a cabin in the mountains, but we also were able to go the bear lake and have some fun. We went on a hike, where we found some interesting trees.
We also got some family pictures taken while were there.
Now some pics from the beach
